A chopsticks set consisting of one pair of chopsticks and a chopsticks rest. Crafted by hand from a Bushmills whiskey barrel.
Add some fun to your next meal with a lovely set of chopsticks taken from a Bushmills whiskey barrel.
The chopsticks are approximately 21cm long and made by hand, being cut to size on a bandsaw and sanded to finish. The chopsticks rest is turned on my lathe to resemble the whiskey barrel it came from. The rest is approximately 10cm long and between 2 - 2.5cm diameter. The rest is flattened along one edge to prevent it rolling when not in use.
Cleaning and caring ...
Wipe clean and dry straight away. Do not allow to soak and do not put in a dishwasher. If the grain swells and rises after use you can leave as is or sand down with a fine grit sandpaper. Oiling is not essential, but will enhance the colour of the wood ... any food-friendly oil can be used and mineral oil is recommended.
